Ayrshire Castle Announced as Romantic Wedding Venue of the Year 2023

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Martyn Robertson and all the staff at Sorn Castle as the venue is announced as the most Romantic Wedding Venue of the Year at the 2023 Scottish Wedding Awards; notes that the awards were held at Glasgow’s DoubleTree by Hilton on 28 February 2023; further notes that staff were informed that the venue had been nominated six months before the final as one of 10 nominees in the category, and had been nominated by a mix of their clients; understands that management and the staff were delighted that their work had been recognised with this prestigious award; recognises that the award celebrates the best wedding industry professionals and businesses in Scotland; acknowledges the work that the hotel and staff do in providing what it sees as the very best wedding services to its guests; considers the award success to be a result of the hard work of Sorn Castle’s Wedding and Events Manager, Martyn and his team, and wishes them all every success in the future.
