Prestwick Girls' Tennis Team Reaches the Finals

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Prestwick Academy’s girls’ tennis team on being shortlisted in the 2023 Tennis Scotland Awards; notes that the team has been shortlisted for the Team of the Year category, and is one of 26 nominees across 10 categories to attend the finals on 31 March 2023, at Stirling Court Hotel; understands that the Team of the Year award recognises teams that have achieved outstanding domestic or international results in the previous year; further understands that the Prestwick’s girls’ team was successful in the Scottish Schools Competition, which saw them qualify for the Nottingham finals, and also finished second in the First Division of the GB North regional finals tournament, held in Sunderland on 10 November 2022; applauds everyone in the team for all of their hard work, and wishes them continued success.
