Motherwell Dementia Garden

The motion

That the Parliament commends the continued work and support within the dementia garden on Airbles Road, Motherwell; understands that Dalziel Rugby Club members, Clydesdale Community Initiative, NHS Lanarkshire, Motherwell South Church and local schools have redeveloped the garden over the past few years; further understands that the award-winning local artist, John Martin Fulton, revamped three benches, transforming them into colourful, functional pieces of art; believes that sensory gardens, green therapies and the great outdoors provide many different sensory experiences and enhance the quality of life of people with dementia, and thanks all of those involved for their dedication and time in creating a colourful garden for all to enjoy.
