The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Strathcarron Hospice’s "Hospice at Home" service for being awarded the rating of "excellent" by the Care Inspectorate; recognises that, following a short-notice visit by the Care Inspectorate, "Hospice at Home" earned the highest rating across all areas of service delivery; understands that this is the fifth consecutive report that has labelled the community-focused palliative care service as excellent; values the support that this specialist service provides to those who require it in communities in the Falkirk East constituency, and across the wider Forth Valley and North Lanarkshire areas; understands that the "Hospice at Home" service was initially launched with five years of funding from a successful Big Lottery Fund grant, but that this funding ended in 2019 and that, since then, it has continued through the generosity of the community via donations and fundraising, and congratulates Strathcarron Hospice’s "Hospice at Home" service and all its staff on what it sees as this fantastic report, which, it considers, highlights the high levels of service that are delivered.
