Newmains Seniors With Energetic Lifestyles (SWELs) Receives £7,725 Grant
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Seniors With Energetic Lifestyles (SWELs) on receiving a £7,725 grant from the National Lottery Community Fund; notes that the organisation, based in Newmains, specialises in providing a number of activities to seniors in the community, including tai chi and chair aerobics classes; understands that the grant will be used to organise day trips, afternoon dances and a Christmas dinner for the attendees; commends the SWELs on their positive impact in the community, and wishes them the best in future endeavours.
