Newmains and District Senior Citizens Lunch Club Receives £10,000 Grant
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Newmains and District Senior Citizens Lunch Club on receiving a £10,000 grant from the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that the funding will have a significant impact on the club and will help cover the cost of transportation, enabling senior citizens to attend; further understands that the lunch club aims to provide friendship and companionship to seniors in the community who are experiencing social isolation, creating a safe space within Newmains and the surrounding areas; commends the work of the lunch club, and wishes it all the best in the future.
