Newmains and District Gala Committee Receives £500 from the Coalfields Regeneration Trust

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Newmains and District Gala Committee on receiving £500 from the Coalfields Regeneration Trust; notes that the Coalfields Community Investment Programme aims to invest in projects that improve the lives of people living in Scotland's former coalfield communities; further notes that the trust is funded by the Scottish Government and seeks to support people back into work, invest in skills, tackle health inequalities and create opportunities by developing community infrastructure; understands that the money given to the committee will be used to give back to the community, including through organising events and projects; commends the work of the Newmains and District Gala Committee, and wishes everyone involved all the best for the future.
