Scottish Youth Parliament 2023 AGM

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP), which was held virtually on 25 March 2023; thanks the outgoing Board of Trustees, Abbie Wright MSYP, Olivia Brown MSYP, Crisantos Ike MSYP, Gavin Stewart MSYP, Emma Prach MSYP, and Ellie Craig MSYP, outgoing vice chair, Mollie McGoran MSYP, and outgoing chair, Sophie Reid MSYP, for their work representing Scotland's young people and standing up for their rights over the last year; notes that Sophie Reid has stood down as an MSYP at the end of her tenure as chair and wishes her well for the future; thanks Sophie for the all work she has done, particularly in progressing discussions around women's safety in public areas; welcomes the new Board of Trustees, Beau Johnston MSYP, Marcus Flucker MSYP, Crisantos Ike MSYP, Emma Prach MSYP, Olivia Brown MSYP, and Daniel Molloy MSYP, the new vice chair, Ellie Craig MSYP, and the new chair, Mollie McGoran MSYP; notes that new conveners and deputy conveners of SYP's 10 subject committees were also elected in March, and wishes the new board, conveners and deputy conveners well in their work over the next year.
