The 97th Ayrshire Music Festival 2023
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates all involved with the Ayrshire Music Festival; notes that the Ayr-based festival ran from 2 to 15 March 2023 in its 97th iteration, with 2,400 performers participating in 130 classes of classical-instrumental, choir, solo-voice, poetry and piping competitions; understands that events took place at Ayr Town Hall and Ayr Baptist Church; believes that the festival helps encourage young people to share their musical talent on stage; understands that the festival is run by volunteers of the Ayrshire Music Festival Committee, who work hard to stage the festival and make it a success, and wishes all involved with the Ayrshire Music Festival all the best for the future.
