Cumnock Walking Footballers Raise £1,858 for Hospital Dementia Ward
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the outstanding efforts of Cumnock’s Townhead Strollers walking footballers, who raised £1,858 for the Marchburn Dementia ward at Cumnock’s East Ayrshire Community Hospital; understands that the funds were raised through a raffle and that players donated to play in the charity match against Dukla Pumpherston; notes that Dukla Pumpherston is a Scottish charity football team that travels to play in matches that raise funds for vital causes; understands that Townhead Strollers player, Jim Marshall, pushed the event, putting in lots of hours; commends Jim, all the players of Townhead Strollers, Dukla, and those involved in their fundraising efforts, and wishes them the very best going forward.
