North Lanarkshire Primary School and Nursery Achieves UNICEF Gold Status

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Holy Cross Primary School and Nursery in Croy, North Lanarkshire, on achieving the highly-coveted UNICEF UK Gold Rights Respecting School status; notes that this is the highest accolade awarded to schools that show a deep and thorough commitment to children’s rights at all levels of school life; further notes that the Rights Respecting Schools Award is granted to schools that show commitment to promoting and realising children’s rights, while encouraging pupils to respect others at school and in the wider community; acknowledges that a huge amount of effort and hard work has been required to achieve the gold status, and considers that everyone associated with the school can feel very proud.
