Falkirk Rugby Club Awarded £100,000 from Sportscotland's Sport Facilities Fund

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Falkirk Rugby Club on being awarded £100,000 from sportscotland’s Sport Facilities Fund; understands that the investment will be used to upgrade the existing pavilion to provide a more inclusive six-team changing area, gym and two changing rooms for officials; believes that the improved facilities will support community engagement by providing an attractive environment and further opportunities for participation; recognises that Falkirk Rugby Club is at the heart of the local community sports hub and successfully runs a schools programme, The Kelpies, in partnership with Grangemouth RFC, and further recognises that the aim is to provide a positive rugby experience, especially for women, girls and people from disadvantaged backgrounds, within the local community.
