Community Litter Pick-up in Clarkston

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates staff from the Anytime Fitness Gym in Clarkston, for arranging a litter pick-up event in the local community as part of the organisation's 10-year anniversary; notes that staff at the Busby Road fitness centre worked alongside a team of volunteers to pick up large amounts of litter and clear waste items from local streets in the Clarkston area; agrees that littering is a blight upon local communities and that it is vital that everyone disposes of used items in the correct manner; acknowledges what it sees as the incredible and selfless efforts of volunteers all across Scotland to remove litter from their communities, and commends Anytime Fitness staff and local residents for their recent hard work to clean up Clarkston.
