Carbon Capture Utilisation International (CCU) Wins Environment Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Beena Sharma and Carbon Capture Utilisation (CCU) International  on winning the Environment Award at the AccelerateHER awards ceremony on 16 March 2023; notes that Beena established the company in Aberdeen in 2022; understands that CCU International provides patented technology that captures carbon dioxide from industrial emissions and purifies for use in other industries; further understands that CCU International provides systems that both large and small companies can use to capture the carbon emissions, and that allow it to be reused in industrial processes through conversion into elements such as aggregate for construction material, surfactants and sustainable transport fuels, and wishes Beena and the CCU International team further success in the future, helping Scotland to move further towards net zero.
