Grangemouth’s Jupiter Urban Wildlife Centre Hosts “Bee Mindful” Event

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Jupiter Urban Wildlife Centre on hosting a “Bee Mindful” event on 24 March 2023; recognises that the Jupiter Urban Wildlife Centre is a Scottish Wildlife Trust facility located near Wood Street in Grangemouth; notes that the centre has free admission to the public, including to events such as Bee Mindful, which was hosted for the benefit of children within the local community, giving them the chance to learn fun facts about nature, craft and paint their very own bee hotel and take part in a bee-themed nature hunt; recognises what it sees as the importance of such events, which seek to educate and include children in the benefits of being environmentally conscious citizens; notes the scheduled events set to take place at the Jupiter Wildlife Centre over Spring, such as the Easter Celebration and Egg Hunt on 8 April 2023 and the Signs of Spring event on 15 April 2023, with both family-friendly events combining education on the natural environment with crafting; congratulates the Jupiter Urban Wildlife Centre on the hard work it has put into hosting such a varied programme of community-focused events, continuing its educational work, and wishes it all the best for its upcoming programmes.
