Teigan Smith Secures Silver Medal at Dutch Open Taekwondo Championships 2023

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Teigan Smith from Carronshore, on securing a silver medal at the Dutch Open Taekwondo Championships 2023; understands that Teigan trains at Central Taekwondo Academy and travelled to Eindhoven to compete in the 2023 Dutch Open Taekwondo Championships on 11 to 12 March 2023; notes that Teigan competed in the under 52kg weight category and fought in five vigorous matches before achieving her silver medal in the final match of the day; understands that Teigan was the highest placed out of all fighters participating from across the UK, which Teigan hopes will aid her goal of securing enough points for Team GB selection for future events; congratulates Teigan on her repeated success in Taekwondo, and wishes her all the best in the selection process for future events.
