Wishaw's New Esports Academy

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Wishaw YMCA on receiving £50,000 from Patersons of Greenoakhill; understands that the grant will allow the YMCA to open Wishaw’s first Esports Academy, allowing it to purchase a further 10 computers; further understands that Esports is the fastest growing global trend, which brings together over 600 million people from around the globe; believes that the global market is expected to generate more than £1 billion annually; understands that The Wishaw Esports Academy will have two different age groups, under-13s and 13-16s, and will feature the Fortnite and Rocket League games, and wishes everyone involved all the best for the future.
