Bowel Cancer Awareness Month 2023

The motion

That the Parliament recognises April as Bowel Cancer Awareness Month; understands that bowel cancer is the third most common cancer in Scotland, with someone being diagnosed every 15 minutes in the UK; further understands that Bowel Cancer Awareness Month is an opportunity to raise awareness of the symptoms, as well as ways to support and improve the lives of those affected by bowel cancer; acknowledges the importance of sharing knowledge of bowel cancer, and urges everyone to attend their bowel screening appointments when invited.
