Craigneuk Amateurs Fat2Fit
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes Lanarkshire’s new football team, Craigneuk Amateurs Fat2Fit; understands that Craigneuk Amateurs Fat2Fit was set up by Jamie Loughran to encourage others to get up off the couch and play, to lose weight and build friendships; further understands that health improvements reported by those playing football include weight loss and a reduction in sleep apnoea, blood pressure and symptoms of diabetes, as well as improvements to their mental health and wellbeing; notes that 30 players have so far signed up, and wishes them all the best for the future.
