Clydebank Sea Cadet First Lieutenant Finalist of YouthLink Scotland’s 2023 National Youth Work Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates First Lieutenant at Clydebank Sea Cadets, Rowan Daly, on being nominated for the Volunteer Youth Worker award at YouthLink Scotland’s 2023 National Youth Work Awards; understands that Rowan, who is 28 years old, has been part of the group for 16 years, having initially joined it to gain self-confidence after feeling like an outcast at school; further understands that he now supports young people at various ages to become the best versions of themselves through the Sea Cadet experience; commends Rowan for this achievement, and wishes him the best for the awards ceremony.
