Largs’ Jack Ransom Celebrates His 103rd Birthday

The motion

That the Parliament celebrates the birthday of Jack Ransom, a resident of Largs, who will be 103 on 15 April 2023; understands that Jack is a Londoner by birth, known locally as the “Scottish Cockney”, and notably served in the army and survived the horrific conditions of the Burma Railway during the Second World War; recognises that, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Jack was unable to celebrate his 100th birthday as planned and, therefore, is determined to celebrate this special occasion; wishes Jack a happy birthday, and looks forward to his 104th.
