Aberdeen Student Recognised by Royal Humane Society
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen pupil, Shreya Veerappan, after she saved the life of a classmate during a school swimming session; believes that Shreya was swimming at Robert Gordon’s College in May 2022 when she noticed that her friend was drowning at the deep end of the pool; understands that Shreya recovered her friend from the water, and has been recognised with a testimonial parchment by the Royal Humane Society for her efforts; thanks Shreya for her bravery, and wishes her classmate well in their recovery.
