Ayrshire Tug of War Club Celebrates World Championship Success

The motion

That the Parliament recognises Ayrshire's Tug of War club for its success at the Indoor Tug of War Championships; notes that the championships were held in Northern Ireland over four days; understands that, on the first two days of the championships, teams compete for their club, and on the remaining two days, teams compete for their country; congratulates the team on winning gold for Ayrshire in the men’s 640kg and mixed 580kg opens, and silver for Scotland in the mixed 580kg; understands that this is the first time that a Scottish club has won gold for the mixed category at the indoor championships; further understands that the team’s training for its outdoor season is underway, with the World Outdoor Championships due to take place in Switzerland later in 2023; commends the hard work the team has put into its training, and wishes it all the best for the future.
