Loch Ken Eco Bothies Star on BBC

That the Parliament congratulates the Galloway Activity Centre on featuring on BBC Scotland’s new TV Show, Scotland’s Greatest Escapes, with its fabulous, award-winning Eco Bothies; understands that the show, which is presented by JJ Chalmers and Grado, aims to uncover the best holiday escapes in Scotland and includes wellness retreats to adrenalin-fuelled activity breaks, romantic getaways to family fun, and that each episode showcases the top three destinations in their category, road-tested by a family or group of friends with a passion for that particular holiday style; understands that those on the show spend one night at each of the destinations and judge five specific elements of their stay and that the holiday with the highest score goes forward to the grand final; congratulates the Galloway Activity Centre, and in particular its Eco Bothies, on scoring top marks; notes that the Bothies, situated in the heart of the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere, are beautifully equipped and furnished with each having its own hot tub, wood burning stove and dedicated kayak, and that those staying can enjoy Loch Ken, as well as wall climbing, laser tag, and an array of water sports, including paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing and the water total wipeout course at the Activity Centre; thanks BBC Scotland and the Galloway Activity Centre for highlighting just some of what Dumfries and Galloway has to offer, and encourages all to choose a staycation and to visit bonnie Dumfries and Galloway.
