Charlie House Raises Over £16,000 at Annual Fundraiser
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Charlie House on raising over £16,000 at its annual Fizz and Fashion Friday fundraiser event in honour of the charity’s Buy a Brick campaign; understands that the campaign aims to raise funds to build a dedicated support centre in the north east; notes that Charlie House was founded in 2011 and aims to improve the quality of life for babies, children and young people in the north east of Scotland who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and to provide support for their families; notes that the event, which took place at Union Kirk and was attended by 250 people, included a luxury raffle, auction, tombola and Irish bingo, with 13 parents taking part in the fashion show; commends the work of Charlie House, its sponsors and contributors for a successful event, and passes on its best wishes for future fundraising success.
