Two Inverclyde Ports Receive Award from Keep Scotland Beautiful
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Port Glasgow-based Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMAL) on being awarded Keep Scotland Beautiful’s Ports and Harbours Environmental Award for its Wemyss Bay and Gourock sites; notes that CMAL and CalMac operate the two ports; understands that auditors visited and assessed the ports in September 2022, completing an evaluation, which led to the ports being ranked silver; believes that this award acknowledges both companies' commitment to improving environmental quality and management at the sites, and wishes CMAL and CalMac all the best as they strive to achieve gold accreditation in the future.
