Port of Aberdeen Charitable Contributions

The motion

That the Parliament commends the Port of Aberdeen for providing support to six charities and community groups in Aberdeen; notes that a total of a £30,000 of funding was awarded through the Port’s community action programme, supPORT-all; further notes that Aberdeen Foyer received £7,500 to deliver a Community Wellbeing Challenge, which involves young people making improvements to local communities and neighbourhoods, the 55th Aberdeen (Kincorth) Scout Group received £7,500 to improve accessibility of the scout hall for the community, especially for disabled people, the Russell Anderson Foundation was awarded £5,000 to expand a community wellbeing project in Torry, Loriston Parent Council received £5,000 to provide healthy breakfasts for school pupils, Torry Community Group was awarded £2,500 to make improvements to Bruce Garden, and Balnagask Community Council received £2,500 to run a monthly supper club for elderly people and a weekly lunch club for children; commends the Port of Aberdeen for its contribution to what it sees as these good causes, and sends its best wishes to both the Port and all the associated charities for every success in the future.
