Recognising Kilmarnock-based Thistle Cabs’ Excellence in Customer Service

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the news that Kilmarnock-based business, Thistle Cabs Group, has won the best customer service award in Scotland at the Scottish Passenger Transport Awards; notes that the awards seek to recognise excellence within the industry; understands that a combination of public voting and a judging panel of specialists within the field, decide on the winners and finalists; notes that the Ayrshire firm triumphed over competition in major cities through its comprehensive complaint handling, which, it understands, encourages drivers and call handlers to come together to deliver top customer service; commends the family-owned business on its success in staff retention; understands that it has retained all drivers after the takeover of long-standing taxi firm, 8ees; congratulates owners, Ross and James Gilmour, and staff at Thistle Cabs Group on their hard work and attentiveness to customers, and wishes them every success in the future as the business continues to expand and create more jobs within the Ayrshire region.
