ABZ Propeller Fund Q1 2023
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the donation of £8,000 to local organisations and charities through the ABZ Propeller Fund, administered and funded by Aberdeen International Airport; acknowledges that the fund is used to assist projects with links to young people, education, sustainability and economic regeneration; notes that the successful applicants that will receive financial support in Q1of 2023 include St Devenick's Playgroup for a new Wendy house, The Seed Box for a new polytunnel, Mastrick Community Centre for café equipment, The Haven for induction hobs to provide community cooking classes, and Bethany Christian Trust Service for a beehive to improve clients' mental wellbeing; understands that, in 2022, 18 organisations shared a total of £25,000 through the ABZ Propeller Fund, and that there will be three further rounds of funding this year, for which any applicable local group that makes a tangible difference in its local community should consider applying to; applauds Aberdeen International Airport for its generosity, and congratulates all of the fund recipients on what it sees as their worthy causes.
