P&J Live First Venue in Scotland to be SAVI Accredited
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news that P&J Live in the Aberdeen Donside constituency has become the first live events venue to be awarded the five-star Licensing Security and Vulnerability Initiative (SAVI) accreditation; understands that the scheme, which is run and delivered by the Police Crime Prevention Initiatives, aims to provide safer and more secure environments for managers, staff, customers and the local community by promoting four licensing objectives; notes that the four objectives are the prevention of crime and disorder, public safety, the prevention of public nuisance and the protection of children from harm; understands that SAVI accreditation brings together information from official sources, including police licensing authorities as well as the fire and rescue services, whilst providing management practices and operational security to run a safer and more secure venue, and congratulates all those who work at P&J Live who helped to secure the accreditation for the venue.
