Celebrating the One-year Anniversary of Dogs Trust Dundee
The motion
That the Parliament commends the work of Dogs Trust Dundee on the one-year anniversary of its Home from Home scheme expansion into the north east of Scotland; understands that it has rehomed almost 50 dogs across Dundee and Angus, but also as far north as Nairn, and across to Fife and Perthshire; notes that Clare Adamson MSP placed third at Holyrood Dog of the Year 2022 with Dogs Trust dog, Ollie, who went on to become Dundee’s first successful adoption; recognises that foster carers commit to caring for a dog temporarily in their home for as little as a few days to several weeks or months, and that they are invaluable to Dogs Trust Dundee; understands that the scheme aims to rehome 80 dogs in 2023, and encourages anyone considering fostering to contact Dogs Trust Dundee to help give as many dogs as possible the opportunity to go on to find their perfect “furever” home.
