Polmont Community Snowdrop Café Donation Funds Zaky Hugs for NHS Forth Valley’s Neonatal Unit

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Polmont Community Snowdrop Café on the recent donation it made to NHS Forth Valley’s neonatal unit; understands that the Polmont Community Snowdrop Café was originally established to tackle social isolation by providing a place to meet and have discussions with fellow community members; notes that the Snowdrop Café provided a donation of £400 to NHS Forth Valley to fund the purchase of Zaky Hugs, which are soft, weighted comforters that simulate the touch, feel and scent from parents to the baby; understands that this recent donation builds upon the Snowdrop Café’s efforts to offer financial support to crucial local organisations that provide assistance to the community, such as Strathcarron Hospice, Maggie’s Forth Valley and the Trussell Trust Falkirk; congratulates the Snowdrop Café on its efforts to tackle social isolation while simultaneously providing support to local organisations with donations, and wishes it all the best in its future endeavours.
