The motion

That the Parliament commends the S5 and S6 students of Stewarton Academy who have won the Ayrshire area final of the Young Enterprise Scotland awards; understands that the students participated in the Young Enterprise Scotland programme as part of their senior phase studies and that they will represent Ayrshire at the Festival of Youth Enterprise at Hampden in May 2023; further understands that the Young Enterprise Scotland Company Programme was developed to provide a rich real-life learning experience by allowing students to create, market, operate and promote their own company; notes that the Stewarton students formed a company called Corsehill Crafts, which designs and manufactures a range of customised wooden projects, and that the profit from their company has been reinvested into purchasing additional enterprise resources for the school, including a machine for the custom design, printing and production of t-shirts and hoodies; further notes that Corsehill Crafts secured four of the 10 awards available, including Best Product, Best Interview, Best Presentation and Best Community Engagement, as well as the top prize of Best Overall Company; congratulates all the participants, including students from Kilmarnock Academy and Robert Burns Academy, and wishes Corsehill Crafts all the best in the final and in its future endeavours.
