New Bearsden Restaurant, Beat 6, Raising Funds for Beatson Cancer Charity
The motion
That the Parliament celebrates the opening of Beat 6 restaurant in Bearsden; understands that the social enterprise, which was founded by the owner of Six by Nico and set up its first shop in Glasgow's east end in 2021, has opened a new premises on Milngavie Road, serving delicious food and cocktails to the public; acknowledges that the restaurant has had a longstanding partnership with the Beatson Cancer Charity, with all proceeds from meals in the restaurants being donated to the organisation, which will continue in the brand new premises; understands that the grand total raised so far sits at over £351,765, and helps to provide vital support to cancer patients and their families across the West of Scotland; congratulates the Beat 6 team on the opening of the new premises, and wishes it the best for the future.
