The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Glasgow Royal Infirmary on being recognised in the annual World’s Best Hospitals Newsweek league table; notes that the Glasgow Royal Infirmary was the highest-ranked hospital in Scotland in 26th position, up four rankings from 30th place last year; understands that Newsweek's top 100 hospitals recognises the best hospitals on a global scale across 28 different countries; further understands that it focuses on several factors, including patient outcomes, quality of care and access to health services; acknowledges that the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, which is also in the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde area, placed 28th in the same league table, and further commends the Glasgow Royal Infirmary for what it sees as this fantastic achievement.
