SGF Gym 10th Anniversary

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates SGF Gym, in Craigneuk, on celebrating its 10th anniversary; understands that Andrew McGee opened the gym in 2013, aged just 23, to help improve the community's fitness, motivation and mental health, while rekindling the community spirit; further understands that the gym hosted a family fun day to celebrate the milestone, with over 80 families participating; notes that SGF was nominated for Scottish Gym of the Year at the National Fitness Awards during the COVID-19 pandemic, recognising the support and alternative methods that it adopted to stay connected with the community during the past few years, and thanks SGF for its dedication and commitment to improving lifestyles across Motherwell and Wishaw.
