Cateran Ecomuseum Awarded National Lottery Heritage Fund Grant

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the news that the Museum of Rapid Transition Programme, which is run by the Cateran Ecomuseum in North East Scotland was recently awarded a grant of £166,031 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund; highlights this project’s aim to engage in activities to develop public understanding and engagement with the arts, culture, history, natural and cultural heritage; understands that this funding will provide 72% of total costs; notes that it is Scotland’s second Ecomuseum (alongside Skye Ecomuseum) and the only one on the mainland; understands that this project will deliver seven activity streams in different areas of Cateran Ecomuseum, including Alyth, Blairgowrie and Coupar Angus, and wishes everyone involved in this innovative project every success in the future.
