Commemorating the Life of Mridula Sarwar
The motion
That the Parliament commemorates the life of Mridula Nasreen Sarwar, a social activist and civil servant; notes, with sadness, that Mridula sadly passed away in December 2020 due to complications from a COVID-19 infection; understands that Mridula dedicated her life to social activism, volunteering and community advocacy; further understands that she was considered a pillar of the community and had a profound impact due to her unconditional love and care for everybody in the community; believes Mridula was a devoted mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend as well as a well-known face amongst Glasgow’s Bangladeshi Community, and sends condolences to her friends, family and the whole Bangladeshi community in Glasgow.
