Congratulating Northern Star Business Awards 2023 Winners

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the winners of the Northern Star Business Awards 2023, including the "Regional Contribution Award", which was awarded posthumously to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and sponsored by Shell, and "Business of the Year", which it understands was won by Port of Aberdeen; congratulates the victors in 13 additional categories, namely, "Driving Sustainability", which was won by ASCO and sponsored by BP, "Inspiration from Innovation", which was won by DeltaTek Global and sponsored by Port of Aberdeen, "Marketing Magic", which was won by Mission 10 and sponsored by True North, "Family Business", which was won by Schoolhill Hydraulic Engineering Co Ltd and sponsored by Aberdeenshire Council, "Customer First", which was won by Aberdeen Performing Arts and sponsored by Colin Lawson Transport, "Staff Matter", which was won by WM Donald Ltd and sponsored by Bancon Group, "Going Global", which was won by JBS Group and sponsored by Aberdeen International Airport, "Making the Difference", which was won by CFINE and sponsored by Balmoral Group, "Inspiring Futures", which was won by Aberdeen FC Community Trust and sponsored by Gray & Adams, "Rising Star", which was won by Shane Pirie of Entier Ltd and sponsored by the University of Aberdeen Business School, "Student Placement", which was won by Prospect 13 and sponsored by Robert Gordon University, and "Start-up Business of the Year", which was won by ABERDAM and sponsored by Ledingham Chalmers LLP; recognises what it sees as the importance of outstanding businesses such as these on a local and national level; expresses gratitude to those who sponsored the event, and wishes all those involved continued success in the future.
