NHS Grampian Breast Cancer Research Team Wins Prestigious National Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates NHS Grampian’s breast cancer research team on receiving the National Institute for Health and Care Research’s (NIHR) CREST Award; commends the contribution that the surgical team has made to clinical trials research across the United Kingdom; understands that the NHIR judges selected the multi-disciplinary breast team, which is based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, for excellence in the recruitment of surgical patients to cancer trials; further understands that the team will be presented with the award later in May 2023; notes that the awards committee was especially impressed with the diversity of studies, the number of patients that the breast team recruited, and its support for future researchers, and wishes NHS Grampian breast cancer research team every success with its work in the future.
