Alloway Parish Church Raised £5,176 for Christian Aid

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Ayr’s Rev Neil McNaught, of Alloway Parish Church, and members, on completing the Glasgow Kiltwalk 2023; notes that the Glasgow Kiltwalk took place on 30 April 2023, with 14,000 participants raising funds to support 856 charities; understands that Alloway Parish Church raised £5,176 for Christian Aid, with participants walking a total of 14 miles on the day; further understands that Christian Aid will use the funds for the World Food Programme; acknowledges that Christian Aid Week runs from 14 to 20 May 2023, and that Alloway Parish Church will continue its fundraising for the charity by hosting a coffee morning and book sale on 20 May 2023; praises all involved for their charitable contribution, and wishes them success for their future events.
