Old Kilpatrick Food Parcels Awarded £15,000 in Funding from the Scotmid Co-operative’s Community Connect Award Scheme
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Old Kilpatrick Food Parcels (OKFP) on being awarded £15,000 in funding from the Scotmid Co-operative’s Community Connect Award Scheme; understands that the £15,000 was the largest share of a £25,000 funding pot set aside for good causes in the west of Scotland, helping it to continue delivering what it sees as their vital work; further understands that OKFP was formed in 2020, with the specific aim of alleviating food poverty, in an inclusive and non-discriminatory fashion, across West Dunbartonshire, and that now, in addition to the food pantry, the group has formed a community café and established a range of community engagement groups; commends the staff and volunteers for their hard work, and acknowledges this brilliant recognition.
