NHS Lanarkshire’s Green Health Partnership Receives Funds to Develop Green Spaces
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates NHS Lanarkshire’s Green Health Partnership on securing new funding to the value of £250; understands that the £250 grant is part of Volunteering Matters’ Action Earth campaign, which helps local communities to support and encourage volunteer activity through environmental projects; considers that environmental projects have proven to have a lasting positive impact on health and wellbeing; understands that the funds will be used to enhance the King George V community garden, which is based at the University Hospital Wishaw; further understands that the garden will be available for NHS Lanarkshire patients, staff and residents to access in order to support their mental and physical health; congratulates the team on securing the funding, and wishes the volunteers the best of luck with the development of their green spaces.
