Woodland Clean Up

The motion

That the Parliament commends Woodland Clean Up Lanarkshire, which, it believes, shows continued commitment to keeping Lanarkshire beautiful; understands that the organisation consists of community volunteers who give up their own time to ensure that parks and recreational areas are free from litter, rubbish and graffiti, making them more accessible to all; further understands that the volunteers recently carried out a weekend clean-up of the Newmains area in Wishaw; considers that the Woodland Clean Up makes outstanding contributions to enhancing relationships within the local community by offering an opportunity for everyone to participate in the upkeep of green spaces, and thanks everyone involved for their hard work and dedication.
