Tackling Scotland’s Mental Health Crisis

As an amendment to motion S6M-08955 in the name of Jackie Baillie (Tackling Scotland’s Mental Health Crisis), insert at end "; recalls that the former Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care, Humza Yousaf’s NHS Recovery Plan committed to clear waiting lists in both Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and psychological therapies by March 2023; condemns, therefore, the Scottish Government for cutting £50 million, in real terms, from the mental health budget since November 2022; believes that those finance decisions run contrary to the Parliament declaring a mental health crisis in February 2021, and further believes that it will impede the efforts of services and staff to bring down waiting times."
