Allocation of Carer Breather Funds in North Lanarkshire

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the £600,000 of funding for Carer Breather services that has been allocated to 11 organisations across North Lanarkshire; understands that the Carer Breather fund is a Community Solutions funding initiative, aimed at supporting community and voluntary sector organisations in North Lanarkshire to provide ongoing breaks and activities for carers to support their wellbeing; further understands that projects will be funded until April 2025, and are accessible to all carers living in North Lanarkshire; acknowledges that the Carer Breather projects are funded by Health and Social Care North Lanarkshire, Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire, and North Lanarkshire Carers Together, which support the projects through the Carer Support Network, and commends all carers across North Lanarkshire for what it sees as their selfless acts and dedication to supporting their community.
