Golden Friendships Group in Clydebank Nominated at the Scottish Charity Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Golden Friendships Group in Clydebank for being nominated at the Scottish Charity Awards 2023 for the first time; understands that the group has been named as one of the finalists in the Community Action Award, highlighting the bespoke facilities, events and opportunities that it provides for predominately elderly and disabled individuals within the community; acknowledges that the Golden Friendship Club was set up in January 2017 and has gone from strength to strength, moving into a hall in Nairn Place where it serves the community; notes that staff and volunteers will be attending the award ceremony in Edinburgh’s Sheraton Hotel on 23 June 2023, and wishes them all the best for the big night.
