North East Sensory Services Nominated as a Finalist at the SCVO Scottish Charity Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates North East Sensory Services (NESS) on beingnominated as a finalist at the Scottish Charity Awards 2023; notes that thecharity supports blind and deaf people across the north east; understands thatNESS has been shortlisted in the Digital Citizen category for its work inproviding accessible IT and digital training, and support to people with sightand/or hearing loss; further understands that the work by ICT officers at NESSis designed to reduce isolation and increase digital inclusion for those withsensory loss; recognises the hard work of the Scottish Council for VoluntaryOrganisations (SCVO) in organising the annual award ceremony to highlight thefantastic work of Scottish charities; praises the important work of NESS inproviding what it sees as these vital services to disabled people in the northeast, and wishes all NESS staff, volunteers and service users all the best forthe future.
