The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Our Grades Not Visas on its nomination for the Community Action award at the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) Scottish Charity Awards 2023, to be held at the Sheraton Hotel in Edinburgh on 23 June; notes what it sees as the vital work of the campaign, supported by Maryhill Integration Network and JustRight Scotland, in fighting for the rights of migrant students and asylum seekers who have been denied access to higher education in Scotland; celebrates the achievements of all 32 finalists in this year’s Scottish Charity Awards; recognises the hard work of SCVO in organising and hosting the Scottish Charity Awards annually, and thanks Our Grades Not Visas, Maryhill Integration Network, JustRight Scotland, and all the nominated voluntary organisations and individuals, for what it sees as the crucial work that they do in communities across the country.
