The motion

That the Parliament praises the University of Dundee for launching a new pantry initiative at its School of Health Sciences campus in Kirkcaldy, where students can get free basic food stuffs and toiletries; believes that the initiative will allow students to make valuable savings on their regular shopping bills, which will help them to manage bills through the ever increasing cost of living crisis; recognises that the launch mirrors a similar service, which was established at the university’s campus in Dundee; believes that items available include canned foods, dry pasta and toiletries, along with fresh items such as bread and margarine, which are supplied by the university and its students' association; applauds the university for the launch of the initiative, and wishes it all the best for the future.
